How it all started
A word from Dave "KOOL1" Grimmitt:
It all started when I had the honor of being contacted by Disney, and asked if I could provide one of the two "Herbies" I own for “Make-A-Wish” at their 25th Anniversary gathering at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It only took a hug or two, and a bunch of lil' smiles and thank you's to know what it was that I needed to do. They were the most humbling hours of my life. These small superstars that have to battle each and every day of their lives saying "Thank You" to me? Fighting tears in my eyes, I found it hard to express to these little heroes how much I thank THEM for allowing me the honor of being in their presence. I have been around stars both from sports and film, but these were true Superstars, who were much larger and stronger than those that I have known. This is for them, and for Chris Greicius for which the words he spoke to his Mom, Linda.
"Mommy, we have a Herbie!"
